The level of matric class is the completion of the secondary education of the students, who want to get further education. The students get admission in the schools in private or public sector and they complete their education at the SSC class level. The government and private schools are responsible to maintain the standard of education at the 10^th class level. The students appear in the annual exams of matric class in science or arts subjects. The science students have to prepare for the practical papers in Physics, Chemistry and Biology while there is no practical for the arts subjects. The students have to appear in the exams by sending their admission forms to their respective educational boards.

Rawalpindi board covers the district of Jhelum, Chakwal, Rawalpindi and Attock and all other educational boards cover different districts, which are attached with them to manage SSC-II annual exams. The students can appear in the exams at regular and private candidates. There are nine educational boards in Punjab, which are included with Faisalabad, Lahore, Sahiwal, Rawalpindi, Multan, Sargodha, DG Khan, Bahawalpur and Gujranwala. The students living in KPK, have to appear in their respective education boards, which are Malakand, Mardan, Bannu, Peshawar, DI Khan, Swat, Kohat and Abbottabad board. There are seven education boards in Sindh in which Karachi is divided into two separate education boards including BSEK Karachi and BIEK Karachi, Sukkur, Larkana, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas and Aga Khan Board. The students of AJK have to appear in the AJK Board while the students of Baluchistan appear in their sole Quetta Board to pass their matric class exams. The students living in Islamabad or in the cantonment areas of the country can appear in the Federal Board exams for their matric-II annual or supply exams. These educational boards also announce the names of the position holder students in the prize distribution ceremonies, which they conduct on the announcement of the SSC-II annual exams.
